Talk about the issues important to you every chance you get! Forward info about your cause to everyone in your address book. Word of mouth is an amazing tool. Be sure to educate yourself on the facts. Don't let people trick you with false information. Be prepared for hostility. Some people can get very angry when they disagree. Even fellow supporters of a cause can be nasty when they feel you are treading in their territory. If you know you're doing the right thing, don't let ANYTHING stop you.

Get the media involved! Email them with your requests. Tell them you want to hear more on a particular issue. A VERY effective way to voice your opinions is through letters to the editor of your local newspaper. Once again, technology has made this so easy that there is NO excuse for not doing it.

Look up your local ACLU. If you encounter a problem on your local level, CONTACT THEM IN WRITING. Don't write once, write until you get a response. The Arkansas Civil Liberties Union is a fantastic organization. Staff Attorney, Holly Dickson, is compassionate, dedicated and super intelligent. She ranks high on our list of most admired people.

Make a monetary donation to the cause of your choice. Most organizations need funds to continue running. We currently do not take donations, however the cost of this website is $11.95 monthly. If you'd like to help with this expense, feel free to contact us . There is also a donation link on Janie Ward's page. This money goes directly to her family to assist them with the legal fees they have incurred during their pursuit of justice. Make sure your donation is going to a legitimate organization, such as the West Memphis Innocence Project. If they're legit, they will have NO problem telling you where your money is going and will not get angry if you ask questions about where your money is going.
